Understanding the Basics of Pricing and Costs in the Industry

Posted by Guillaume Cloutier on Apr 9, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Throughout our years in the experiential marketing/event industry we can’t help but notice that there is some confusion and difficulty in understanding how pricing works for container units. For this reason, we feel that it is important to discuss and explain a few variables that affect the prices of units.

Varying Transportation Costs
First and foremost, the main element affecting cost in the industry is transportation. This is due to factors such as: location of delivery, availability of trucks and fuel prices. Transportation costs are the most unpredictable variables in the industry. As a result of this, our team developed the SSLite series which can be hauled by a pick-up truck and transported more easily across North America.

Advantages of Using Converted Shipping Containers for Experiential Marketing Events

Posted by Guillaume Cloutier on Mar 12, 2019 2:32:21 PM

Dear fellow marketers, today, we’ll be examining some of the perks and advantages of using Steel Space Concepts’ shipping containers for experiential marketing and brand activation events.

Mobility and Deployment Flexibility
The main advantage of using a container for experiential marketing is the mobility aspect. With our containers, you can get to different locations both quickly, and with ease throughout the span of one or multiple days. The SSLite series, pictured below, is especially effective when frequent venue changes are required. With the ability to be hauled by a pick-up truck, and easily deployed by our electrical leg system, the SSLite model is a favourite among our clients.

In addition, our solutions have a quick set-up time. Our standard units have hydraulic doors and leg systems built-in designed to make the load-in/load-out process as quick and efficient as possible, and our SSLite series have electrical legs and doors that are easily operated by a single person. We invite you to watch our videos where you will see the complete set-up process of both an SSLite unit:

“They did not know it was impossible, so they did it.”

This quote from the American novelist Mark Twain is a perfect illustration of Steel Space Concepts' desire to meet the industry’s highest expectations and the types of situations we might face throughout a project process. One specific project comes to mind when we think about the many challenges we have faced throughout this past year.

Container customization at its best

Some clients prefer to build the concept on their own and then have us execute their plan, others prefer to work on a collaborative basis with us in order to come up with the best possible outcome, and others ask us to design the entire concept and propose different alternatives that they can then choose from.
