"They did not know it was impossible, so they did it."

“They did not know it was impossible, so they did it.”

This quote from the American novelist Mark Twain is a perfect illustration of Steel Space Concepts' desire to meet the industry’s highest expectations and the types of situations we might face throughout a project process. One specific project comes to mind when we think about the many challenges we have faced throughout this past year.

This project, for a German airline, had a very tight delivery time of 10 days. Due to a difference in time zones, we encountered additional communication difficulties with the client, which added to this already daunting challenge.

Container customization at its best

Steel Space Concepts’ development team had to make several changes to the original container available for rental. In fact, we only had a few hours to recreate an external solid wall outside of the main section of the container.

The main requirement for the container was to partition its interior space into several divisions. The construction of removable walls created different sections for each of the areas required for the activation. This solution brought together in a single 40' unit; a first-class waiting lounge, a check-in area and a virtual reality installation. We dropped one of the hydraulic walls of the unit to increase the square footage of the floor and built some fake solid walls on hinges to enclose the space. Take a look at an example of one of our partitioned containers:

Extraordinary support

The client wanted to be responsible for the branding and the furniture in the container, which meant that we had to keep them informed throughout the different stages of the project's creation for everyone involved to be on the same page.

In order to simplify the process and provide our best support, our project manager made a trip to New York, where the container was to be deployed. This allowed the customer to continuously be informed of the progress of the project while being reassured that the delivery date and arrival time would be respected. Proper timing was crucial!

The excellent follow-up and customer service provided by our project manager and the members of our team allowed us to offer a unique experience with a quality product following the highest requirements.
